Truck pulling left, noticeably above 45mph

Looking for advice from the peanut gallery...

A few months ago I noticed that my '06 Sport was pulling to the left, enough that you can feel it on the highway and have to correct on the highway. At first I thought it was the rake of the roads or strong winter winds but having driven on different interstates and still having the problem, I took it in to have an alignment done. I didn't go to a Toyota dealer (perhaps my mistake) and after it showed in spec at the shop I took off. As you can guess by the nature of this post, the problem wasn't resolved. I took it back and they "counter-aligned" the front to favor the right because he said the rear axle was a bit off making the truck want to go left. Drum roll please...it still pulls. They said that it's not affecting tire wear because it's not far enough out.

Looking for your thoughts or to see if anyone else had anything similar happen to them. Thanks

check threads for "wheel alignment" it could be a few things.

Do you have the dreaded frozen caliper syndrome discussed in these forums?

This wasn't on my 4Runner, but on my Accord.... And after reading up on it, it seems to be a fairly common, though rarely diagnosed problem- In my case, the tires themselves were causing the pull. My tires were directional, so I couldn't "rotate the problem out", but I recently replaced them with a new set of cheaper tires, and the problem went away.

In the end, there are only a few things that can cause a vehicle to pull. I'd try swapping the front tires left-to right and see if that affects the problem.

It may sound obvious, but I'll throw it out there anyway - did you check the tire pressure? Are both front tires inflated equally?

Also, if your tires are worn unevenly they may pull. Did you try switching front and rear tires?
