True 2.5/1.5 Spacer Lift

I'm trying to achieve a true 2.5/1.5 lift. What does everyone think of stacking Daystar's 1" budget boost with Wheeler's 1/4" top plate spacer? That'll provide a 1.25" spacer which should yield a true 2.5" lift.

I understands the limits of spacers and accept them for now and will upgrade to complete OME or coilovers later.

Why wouldn't you just get a Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit? On that kit the front spacer is 1.25" which makes it 2.5". Same thing as doing the 1"+1/4".

Actually the old Daystar kits were what you are describing. A pre-load and top spacer. The Daystar 2.5/1.5 kit is easier to install in the front than the preload budget boost.

Other option is get a 2/2.5" etc from Toytec or wheelers, even ebay.

All will be safe options, just some have a different effort to achieve them.

I have a budget boost kit in the garage if your interested! Cheap!

Based on what I've read about the DS 2.5/1.5 kit, the front spacer is actually 1.5" thick, which gives a 3" lift, not 2.5" like the name implies.

For reference, I'm only talking about DS's newer topout only spacers since they're easier to install. I plan to upgrade to OME/Coilovers next year so didn't want to invest too much time.

I can give you some suggestions as I did something similar. I think that stacking Daystar budget boost and 1/4" spacer will work fine. I know alot of people do not recommend stacking spacers and it may not be the ideal way to go.

On mine, I recently tried top 1.25" spacer and that gave me 2.5" of front lift but the ride was really stiff--alot more than I expected and I'm not exactly sure why. Might have something to do with Bilstein 5100 shocks rather than stock shocks.

Ended up taking that spacer out, setting Bilistein at 0.85 lift, and adding 1/2" + 1/4" Toytec top spacers stacked and the ride is much better and not nearly as stiff. No problems yet.

Cornfed will do a custom lift to whatever specs you'd like. Spoke to him on the phone the other day. seems like a good gut to work with.
