NVM! I see where they go now. Did you remove your front sway bar? It seems to go in the same threads as the front sway bar bolt locations. Do you think I could run a sway bar with the front recovery mounts?

Yeah 2 on the sway bar, in the crossmember, and 1 little one up on the frame

Yes I'm running no sway bar up front, but I did put it back on for a state inspection with the recovery points installed. They actually work as a good sway bar spacer to get the arms at the right angle if you're lifted

Got mine all welded up this last weekend. I love how it turned out. Only issue I have, and I knew this going in, is the gap between the wings and the fender due to my body lift.

I use those recovery points/tie ins with my ebay taco bumper. I feel safer if I need to winch or get recovered now.

Well I've used mine to winch out of a mudhole now. Did great other than blowing the fuse inside the box on my winch and not knowing that was a thing. D'OH.

I've thought about grabbing these instead of the TNF recover points: Recovery Points For Lexus GX460 / GX470 / 4th And 5th Gen 4Runner / FJ Cruiser

Its a shame the options are as limited as the are for the 4th gen.

I have a question for you regarding the install of your winch in your TNF bumper, more particular the metal A/C line. It looks like I need to bend the metal line up about an inch and a half and back several inches. Just wondering how you went about it. Did you just bend it to clear or did you have to move or modify the brackets too? I don’t have any problem with bending it I just want it to look clean and of course not break.
Any help is appreciated.

Also on a side note I did end up ordering the TNF recovery points with the frame tie-ins.

So initially I just bent the AC line back. This seemed to work, until I rubbed a hole in my AC line back where it crosses the bumper back towards the radiator...

Right way to do it is to disconnect the center bracket (the one the instructions have you cut) and bend the AC mounting brackets until the AC lines fit behind it. Then, if there is anywhere your AC lines are close to the bumper, get some rubber hose and jacket the line so vibrations don't wear through the metal.

Just wish I could find a reasonably priced rear bumper...

Thanks. I did drill out the spot welds and removed the center bracket entirely. I also bent the line and sleeved it with rubber where it passes behind the bottom left when I installed the bumper and after reading about the issue you had. Sounds like I’ll have to just carefully bend the entire line back from the pressure port on the right across to the left.
