Hi folks, I've been reading the forums for a while now - and all the invaluable information as helped me decide on getting a Trail Edition. I'm in the process of trying to purchase a new TE, (with KDSS would be great) but it's proving to be challenging. I tried truecar.com but when I contacted the dealers I was told they were no longer offering the prices I was quoted due to the scarcity of TE, I have only been able to get an actual number out of one helpful Dealer - he has one in stock too but no KDSS.
Can KDSS be installed after purchase? I'm guessing it's a factory only thing due to it's nature?
My recent experience with Toyota Dealerships give the impression they don't care if you walk away. I guess someone else will just buy it.. Anyway - It's a bad time to be buying a new vehicle with the supply problems. Dealers are really milking it for all it's worth and to buy it now would most certainly mean paying a premium price. They almost laugh at you if you mention something closer to invoice price.
I've never purchased toyota before and I would have walked away by now but I do believe it's a fantastic truck and hopefully worth the hassle.
