Trying to solve several problems at once

So, we are all aware of the lack of charging ports on the 4th gen. Also - lots of states have enacted anti driving while texting/talking laws. I'm looking for a solution and I found this: Amazon.com: USA GEAR Adjustable Car Cup Holder Cell Phone Mount & Charger with 3 DC Outlets and Dual USB Ports for Samsung Galaxy S4 / S IV , Apple iPhone 5 / 4S / 4 , LG Nexus 4 & More Smartphones and MP3 Players: Cell Phones & Accessories

I know most here will joke it instantly but it definitely solves my problems. Not the most elegant way but it's $30 and not permanent. Also - I don't let people bring non screw top beverages in my truck so cup holders aren't an issue as you just put the top on tight and throw it in the door or lap. Anyone used something like this? I think I'm gonna pick one up.

I like the switch blank/usb but I can't put anything on the front windshield. It's technically illegal in VA.

Lmao - I'm a cop. Thought about putting it on a panel somewhere too but I'd like to be able to reach it from my seat so I can use it. I think I'm going with the goofy potted flower looking contraption.

:happens:

Lol. That was embarrassing.

Personally I like the cup holder space and would rather have it on a panel, but worth a shot if you don't mind losing that space. Let us all know how it works. You could also mount that doodad in a panel and ditch the bottom "pot" of the flower pot piece.
