TSB Aug 2006 - Popping Noise on FM Radio (2006 Models)

Alldata posted TSB AU003-06 for 2006 4Runners (before a certain serial #) relating to abnormal popping noises on FM radio stations. This only affects SR5's and SE's with either the base radio system (without the CD changer) or with the navigation system. The solution is to replace the radio head unit.

Thanks for the information. I brought my 06 4Runner (Prod date 8/05) in to have the radio replaced. I have heard the popping and chalked it up to poor reception. I use my satelite radio most of the time anyway but I figure since I am paying 30K for a vehicle might as well have things working as they should.
