TSBs for 2004 Toyota 4 Runner

Do we have these TSBs in a PDF format? I would like to bring them with me to the dealership tomorrow and have them fix everything once and for all.

June 7 - BO010-04, REAR SEAT CENTER ARMREST CUP HOLDER, 2003 – 2004 model year 4Runner vehicles.

May 31 - AC003-03 REVISED, HVAC BLOWER MOTOR ICE BUILD-UP, 2003 – 2004 model year 4Runner vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs listed (see the TSB for the VIN #'s).

May 28 - EG015-04, EXCESSIVE SULFUR DIOXIDE ODOR, 2003 – 2004 model year 4Runner vehicles equipped with the 1GR–FE engine produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs listed (see the TSB for the VIN #'s).

Thanks for the link to the PDF, but a search only resulted in the PDF that you linked.

I would feel better if I could go to the dealership with all the PDFs from PT2002's list in hand.

I guess no one has the other TSBs in a pdf or doc that we could show to the dealer.

I, too, would like to have the work all done at once and be done with the problems for good.

whats wrong with the rear center armrest? i dont really notice the rear seat, and whats the tsb number for the popping steering column?

Try www.alldata.com - unfortunately the TSBs are not public documents and it seems you either have to buy them from there through a subscription or from NHTSA where they are logged as well

I got the sulfur smell pretty bad the other day on my 2007 V8 and wonder if this applies to me. Is the fix constrained to the listed years only?

As sharp4runr said, use the search feature and search for the TSB numbers one at a time. Sorry, we don't have a single thread with all of the TSB's in one spot, but many of them may be posted here.

Otherwise, you could spend $10 for a one-day subscription to Toyota Tech Info System and download TSB's, Owners Manuals, and Service Manual pages directly from Toyota.

Also, keep in mind that TSB's are not recalls, so the dealer isn't obligated to do anything unless your truck is exhibiting the problem that's described by the TSB. Work done in accordance with a TSB is only covered by warranty as long as your warranty is valid. If the problem in question is covered by bumper-to-bumper, but you're past 36K miles, the work will not be free of charge.

Dealers are very picky about matching the applicable VIN's and/or model years as specified in the TSB, because Toyota will only reimburse them if that matches. In the case of the Sulfur Smell, there has been a different TSB for that every year, so you just have to find the right one.
