I've got a chance to get a set of 06 Tundra wheels for about 350 for 4 . I would Possibly get then powercoated / color matched or just leave alone , maybe even resell. Is it worth it ?

I basically want them for the offset wider stance . I DONT like/want wheel spacers at all !!!

Or go for FJ rims ?

From looking on Ebay that sounds reasonable. Are they 16's or 17's?

17's........ 16's won't fit Sport :(

Ah, I misunderstood that whole thing... I thought that 16" T4R would not work on a Sport but FJC rims would provide enough room for the brakes due to the different offset. Oh well, learn something new everyday:D

I just Googled some pics of those rims. They look a little tougher to clean but I like the style... Good looking rim! They'd look good on the T4R; a bit custom but still very 'factory'.

woops! didnt compute the year when i read it ;)
Thanks Christoph!
I think those wheels would look good also

I've also found out there recently that there are various versions of the rims. 3 I think.

1. painted \
2. painted insides but machine finished outside.
3.clear coated painred finish.

Im still trying to research this .

they seem similar/the same as the sequioa wheels... and i think they came in a gunmetal color which would IMHO look nasty on your (and mine) color of truck (as in good ;) )

I WISH SOMEONE WITH A BLACK TRUCK WOULD GET BRONZE WHEELS

The gunmetal Sequoia rims look awesome. I would rather have them . Hard to find. I hate buying off ebay because I like to see , feel , inspect , before I buy . Well that goes for other things too :satan:

Are you having Smokey and the Bandit flashbacks??? :biggrin2:

Lol!
Well I honestly think if I had a black runner I would go the bronze route... I just think it is such a good color combo! atleast it looks good on the import cars..... ;)

Not sure about this because the FJ uses the BASE SR5 small front brakes.

I agree , when I was thinking about the FJ 16's I just could not get a confirmation on any Toyota boards.

I'm still going to keep looking for Tunda/Sequoia rims . 17" .

Anyone know good websites to find take off's ??

I found one site for $150 per wheel . IO may have to resort to ebay :( but I'm not in a hurry so .....

I picked up my 07 Sequoia wheels with tires for 200 dollars from a neighbor. They had barely 200 miles on them. They have a different offset so the wheel does sit wider than the stock sport wheel but not as far as the FJ wheels. If you are looking for FJ wheels I know a guy selling a decent set for 200 dollars. Picture(s) attached.

Tom , I like the looks of them , gives me a perfect idea since we have the same color. The FJ an Tundra have the same offset and back space.
