Tundra 5100s

When ordering tundra 5100 adjustables and rears, do they come with the correct size bushings? I just placed an order for toytec/eibach springs 112-620 and ome 890 rear springs, and a diff drop. Is that all is needed to lift it? Any recomendations to wat else i need?

dude cancel your order, it's on a different island but call top notch in hilo on the bigisland, they a dealer for toytec and they can help you out if you got questions, also I guarantee you would get them faster, I got pretty much my whole lift set up from them and was actually a lil cheaper than ordering which i was pretty suprised. If you got instagram search the_notch_

[MENTION=101696]piecesparts[/MENTION] Did you need new bushings for the front or the rear? If rear, did you order them before Wheeler's started selling the direct replacement rear 5100s for 4runner? It was my understanding that they now include the correct bushings in the rear 5100s they offer for 4runners. They even changed the part number on the box to say "BIL 4R5100". I'm curious because I am looking at the parts right now that I just got from Wheeler's and have yet to install. Also in speedy's install video of the same parts, his came with correct bushings I think. I was going off of that. Thanks.

Just ordered my 4runner 5100's from wheeler without the bushing. You can use your old ones.

I haven't ordered the shocks yet. Did you get tundra 5100s? Maybe you got the 4runner rear 5100s? The p/n for the rear tundra 5100s is bil 24-100144. I might be wrong tho

Ok so my old ones from my old shocks will work with the tundra 5100s. Thinking of juss getting new bushings tho. But dont know what size or what bushings to get.

I believe the read tundra 5100 have 1/2 eye and our 4runner have 3/4 eye. You need to swap out the eye bushing. SS sells them on his site.

I did my shock change out about 8 months ago and Wheelers offered up the bushings as I ordered the shocks. Front and back.

FWIW, I just used a caliper and measured the bushing on the shocks I got from Wheeler's that they advertise as direct fit for 4runner and it was 3/4". I have read in multiple places on this forum that 3/4" is the proper size for the 4runner and 1/2" is for Tundra. On the one I got, 24-100144 is the part number on the shock itself, but the box has a sticker over the original part number and it reads BIL 4R5100. So I think what Wheelers has is a tundra shock with the bushing already changed out to fit 4Runner. I imagine that if you ordered this shock as a Tundra part then it will not have the correct bushing. but it appears Wheeler's now ships them this way if you order it for a 4runner. At least that's what happened in my case. Good luck with the lift. I'm itching to install mine but stuff keeps coming up.
