Tundra brake update/Stock issues

Today in the afternoon I have decided to do the 199mm (S13WE) Tundra brake update. I started working on the right passenger side first. After taking off the stock parts and putting the Tundra PowerSlot rotor on the hub I started to have fitting issues. The rotor would rub with the caliper! I took a picture of it.

Now I am sure I got the correct parts for this mod. Here is the list of the main components:
  • 2000 Tundra 199mm Calipers 2 PC (S13WE)
  • Tundra Rotors Powerslot P/N 126.44118SL & 126.44118SR left and right respectively.
  • Akibono Brake Pads ProAct ACT812 1 SET

Upon closer inspection of the assembly, it looks like the rotor "wobbles" when spinned, I did the same with the stock rotor and as such same result, this must explain the brake pulsations when I'm holding down the brake pedal when driving. I rule out the possibility of the rotors being warped because both stock and updated rotors wobble the same. Although the stock rotors may have been warped as an effect of this issue.

Question is if this could be something that has to do with the wheel hub? Bearings? Any input from the community/someone with similar issues?

I didn't check it that way, for the new rotor I couldn't put it because it was rubbing with the tundra calipe because of the wobble issue.

If I understand what you're saying, this is completely normal and not an issue. There are no rotor retaining screws so the only retention provided to the rotor is the wheel once it's bolted on. As a result, when the wheel is off, the rotor has free range of motion only limited by the contact with the brake pads.

You can run 2 lugs on to hold the rotor in place and see if that seats the rotor properly.

I got the chance today to work on the truck and I got to do both wheels! :bravo:

For the passenger right side (the one that was wobbling) I managed to reduce the wobble/runout slightly enough to the point where the caliper can't rub the rotor anymore, but there still is some present, I managed by tightening the wheel nuts impact style with the hammer and cross wrench while the wheel still in midair and of course tightening it more when down. I still feel the pulsations when braking though. As for the driver side, I didn't have any issues with it as it was a quick installation no problems there.

So can anyone suggest what's up with the wobble/runout?
