Tundra Brake upgrade

Starting to price things out for it since the rig needs brakes. Might as well upgrade. Anybody do this with aftermarket parts and have good luck? I've searched and havent found an answer.

I bought my set up used from Craig's List from a part out near BlueBall, PA. I'm thinking it was the above Amazon order or something similar. Works great. That guy parted out darn near everything. Even the frame found a new home.

It works on my phone, you have to scroll down to see the cart. But it probably won't work on anyone else's. Either way, $275 for the same powerstop red calipers, centric brakes and Wagner rotors, then $80 core means around $200 for tundra brakes

I saw a complete power stop kit with calipers pads and rotors on rockauto for 232.00 minus 57 dollar core. I know power stop is decent but also not sure if it's a "get what you pay for" kind of thing. Also a local junkyard selling the calipers for 50 a piece. But i think that's kinda steep for 16 year old calipers.

All calipers are OEM Toyota calipers that have been remanufactured (hence the core charge!), so you are just buying the rotors and brakes. I did powerstop calipers off Rockauto as well since who doesn't like red rotors, plus OEM Rotors from Toyota of Dallas ($62 each): Rotor - Toyota (43512-0C011)

And the Toyota brake kit, no link for this one sorry, it's in the Tundra Brake Thread somewhere. I opted for the kit that came with shims.

I paid about $300 all together 2 years ago and with all Toyota parts.

It stops way better, but then again my rotors were warped. You are swapping out a pads with ones with a much larger surface area, more surface area = more stopping power, plus the Tundra rotors are thicker so they don't warp as fast.

For me it was a no brainer, if I'm adding power I better have a way to stop it if needed.

The calipers and rotors are good, the brake pads might also but no experience there. Cheap pads squeal is all, they will still stop your car.
