Tundra Coils

Hey guys...
I found a salvage yard and it has a few tundras that don't look like they've been to hell and back. I was wondering what you guys thought about buying Tundra Coils from a salvage yard. Too risky? Or am I all good?

Plenty of people have bought Tundra coils from a salvage yard. You should be fine, but check to see what kind of mileage are on them.

If you're going for the TRD/Bilstein 5100 set up, make sure you pull from a TRD Tundra. From what I know, the TRD coils are progressive, and the non-TRD are not.

What do yo mean by progressive?

Do you need front coils from a tundra for the rear of the runner?

Progressive means the spring rate increases as the spring compresses and vice versa.

You use Tundra TRD front coils to lift the front of a 4Runner.
