tuning after exhaust

i just put a new custom flowmaster exhaust on my 06 V8 4runner and it seems my shift points are a little different than before. Has anyone else run into any similar problems? if so should i get my truck re-tuned or just deal with it.

not 100% sure but I think the transmission has to re-learn the way the truck is now that you changed it. Someone else will chime in with more knowledge but I think it might just take some drive time to adjust.

You can disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for 10-15 minutes and then reconnect it.

You will need to normalize the windows (driver and rear) and moonroof (if you have it) to restore the auto open/close functionality. To normalize the windows, fully open it and hold the switch in the open position for a few seconds, then close it and hold the switchin in the close position for a few seconds. Test the windows for the auto open/close functionality. Do the same for the moonroof with open and close.

Your tripometer and radio station presets will also be wiped out. Make note of them, if needed.
