Turn Signal Bulb....HELP

So I went to change the bulb in the front turn signal of my 03 runner. when i went to autozone they told me they gave me the 3157 bulb.
BUT, it doesnt fit in the socket. its too round and big.

Actually none of the bulbs seem to fit.

Does anyone know of the right bulb that fits into the assembly?



BTW. I called toyota. They told me it will cost $25 for the bulb + labor to replace it.

Thats exactly what happened to me, but they gave me a 3147 bulb. Either way, they don't fit. Mine are working, but the yellow paint is peeling from them. I think if I remember correctly, the right number is 3137. Either that or I have these two numbers turned around.

I had the same issue and wound up going to the dealer for the bulb.

Try Sylvania's replacement guide. Just select a few options and all the bulb #'s will come up.

In the past, I've read 2003-05 with DRLs have a different turn signal bulb. And those that converted their non-DRL by swapping the relay, bulb failure was higher.

Thanks guys/gals. I finally found the right one at Murray Auto Store. Its the 7443, which has a smaller bulb that fits in the socket. but of course they (or 3 Autozone stores) didnt have yellow/gold, so I had to go with white.
