Turn signal/cruise control/acceleration problem

So I was driving home from class tonight and had cruise control on at about 60mph..I went to switch lanes and flipped my turn signal on, and then my cruise control cut off, as if I had pressed the brake. This continued to happen every time I used my turn signal with cruise on, the cruise then cuts off. Also I noticed that when accelerating, with my turn signal on, my rpms seemed to pulsate with each on/of flash of the turn signal..When the turn signal is not on, the cruise control/acceleration operates perfectly fine..This is very strange and I have not encountered this before, anyone know what might be going on? Thanks!

Does it happen when using either turn signal (left/right) or just a specific side? If just a specific side, inspect the wiring for the signals on that side, sound like a ground wire may be exposed and shorting to something.

It actually happens with both turn signals. I have aftermarket LED tail lights, I suppose I could check to make sure the grounds on each side didn't come loose. Thanks.

That was actually going to be my next question, if you had added any aftermarket lighting that might be interfering due to a wiring problem. Definitely check that out closely before looking at other, more expensive fixes (i.e. replacing a relay)
