Turn signal electrical problem

Hi, I have a 95 4 runner. I had to replace the bumpers and headlights because, well I totalled them. however, the corner turn signals were still intact. Now that everything is back together, the corner turnsignals are not getting any signal. The bottom front signals are blinking and the rear signals are blinking but nothing on the corners. bulbs are new and electrical tester shows no electricity getting there.
My guess is that there is a line going from the bulb to some sort of capacitor and then to the fuse box. If it was a fuse or fusebox problem then the other lights on that fuse would not work, if it was the capacitor then the other blinkers wouldn't work. So if I'm correct I need to know where the capacitor is so I can test the line there.
If anyone has any information on anything I have just mentioned it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Raif

You need to get wiring diagram and voltage tester or multi-meter and start from the bulb and work your way back to the battery looking for volts. When you find the point where you have volts on one side of a circuit component and none on the other side you have found the problem. Remember you need to turn the turn signal on while looking for volts. Also the black lead on the meter /tester is attached to a good ground and the red lead is test lead to find volts.

You could just physically trace the wire back (without a wiring diagram) as far as you can go and you might get lucky and find the voltage. Try that first.

Hi, Thanks for the reply.
I guess what I was wondering is if anyone knows a) what the stops are between the bulb and the batter, ie is there a capcitor or fuse etc. and b) if there is some capacitor where it might be located.
Thanks again,
Raif

From what you have explained (some turn sig are working) I would think you have bad connection or no connection (on the corner sig). There is a relay, fuse, and switch in the circuit. They seem to be OK because some are working (if they are on the same circuit). I would look (for voltage) at all the connections to those corner lights.

Sorry, I have to ask. Your description says the bottom fronts are working but not the upper corners. Are these even turn signals or are they parking/marker lights (like on the 4th Gen?) Is there power to them as parking lights?

Ok, thanks for the replies. So I guess I havn't really checked to see if the parking faze of the lights work or not. The bottom front lights blink when the turn signal is switch on. The corner lights are supposed to but do not. Both the corner and the bottom front I believe are also parking lights. When I get home I'll check to see if the bottom front parking faze work but I'm pretty sure that the corners don't work in either faze.

Thanks,
Raif

I forgot, also there is no power at the corner connectors so it has to be something up stream from there.
Thanks,
Raif
