Turning OFF RSCA when Off-Roading

I have a 2007 T4R SR5 V6 4WD. This coming weekend I am taking a basic 4x4 training class at Hungry Valley, Sourthern California SVRA (State Vehicular Recreation Area).

There will be a 30 degree incline training session.

In this type of incline, is it necessary to turn of the RSCA so that the roll-sensing side airbags are not deployed inadvertently? Or only if the incline is greater?

RSCA stands for Roll-Sensing Curtain Airbags. In 2007 models there is a cut-off switch which can be depressed to turn it off while off-roading as recommended in the user manual. These "are designed to inflate at a severe tilt angle, roll or lateral G-force" per the 2007 4Runner catalog.

Not sure if side curtain airbags were available along with the this cut-off switch 2006 and earlier models.

I have the RSCA on/off switch in my '06. I would imagine that it would have been in any 4Runner that had the roll-sensing airbags. I'm not sure when they became available.

Probably because I don't have side curtain Airbags. I bought it off the lot , otherwise If I ordered it I would have chosen them.

RSCA indicator shows up

I just bought 2007 4runner SR5 about 2 weeks ago and today when I started driving RSCA OFF sign/light shows up. I tried to find any switch but no luck.Is this something I can ignore or I should take the car to a mechanic? Is it dangerous if I ignore?thanks

The RSCA switch is on the left of the steering column right by the center diff lock switch.

I see the RSCA OFF light on my dash (it isn't lit up or anything, but I know it's there). Now can you turn off the RSCA on an '05 by different means other than the RSCA OFF switch, which I don't have?

I'm going off roading in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, and a few other states this summer, having those go off 5,000 miles from home would SUCKKK!
