so found this site doing color code stuff, and then clicked on buttons, you can go to your year and see toyota tv comercials, brochures and all kinds of stuff.
maybe some of you knew that, but for me it was new and cool

looks like 96 was the main year for pushing the 4runner and has the best comercials ( in my opinion)

Great find. Somewhere in my storage boxes (I hope), is an interactive Toyota CD from around 1997. It was right around the time the web was really getting going and was a real wow factor in sales materials.

It was a first in that you could "actually click" on different parts of the screen to watch tiny Quicktime videos and change the paint colors on the 4R, and generally explore like the game Myst.

If I find it I'll have to dig up an old Mac running OS9 and see if there's any way to record it other than taking a video of the screen. I can't find a single thing about this CD online or anyone who even remembers it existed.

I wonder if it was only available in Mac format and that's why it's so anonymous.
