Actually, the reverse happens in an airplane. If you have a water bottle and empty it at cruising altitude, then close the bottle. Ignore it until you land -- you'll find that it has collapsed because of the change in altitude. (Remember that the cabin is pressurized to the equivalent of about 13,000 feet.)
