Two 4Runners in 3 days

I did something similar, but a little more budget conscious. lol. When I bought my wife's Avalon, the dealer had an '04 4Runner on the used lot. Wasn't planning on it, but we ended up making a pretty good deal to get both after trading in my (awful, old, beat-up) Honda Element.

Nope - first one was done Saturday and we came back to wrap up the Pro on Monday.

My experience with Toyotas has been pretty good. We had some rust issues with the old Tundra but the old 4Runner was 8 years old and still going strong with no issues - ever.

BTW, thanks for your service. I see the 10th Mtn on your sig and assuming you might be one of the mountain boys. Retired active Army and then VTARNG here. Helped realize the dream of restarting the 10th many years ago by helping to write up the first TOE for a mountain unit.

Nope, got the black fake leather. Looks nice with the blue and that blue really does sparkle in the sun. It was the last 2017 they had in stock so we didn't have much choice on the options - this one ticks every box on the options chart and she fell in love with it. We traded a fully optioned 2016 Honda Pilot that has been nothing but a PITA. Never measured up to expectations - the new style Honda Pilots need some work to get them up to the old style Pilot quality IMHO. Heater and AC never really worked all that well and the car wouldn't run in cold weather - lots of hesitation and stumbles when cold - almost died several times pulling into traffic - not a great feeling as trucks bear down on you.

Yup - spent 2008 to 2012 on Drum, still have a house up that way. Retired in '15 and now running Cyber Security Ops (If any Network Engineers are reading this, I've got positions in Denver / Houston)

Anyhow - wish I had your contact back in '10 or so. They did a task-reorg of 10th Mtn and cut the Loggies out out of the Division and gave them their own patch. Because of politics and a desire not to rile up the Airborne Weenies down south they refused to authorize the Mountain Tab for the Sustainment Brigade. It was Amazing to me to see a Letters of Endorsement by Div, Corps & FORSCOM get rejected out of hand by one letter from a Staff Sergeant Major and a signature from a 1-Star. Truly Amazing. Their justification? "There's nothing in the Sustainment TOE to justify a Mountain Tab." Do you know what else is missing from the rest of the Division TOE? A mountain justification.

Sickening.

I'm out here in Colorado now - big anniversary up at Camp Hale if you're interested in a road trip in August. I could drag you up some trails as well.
