Tried washing the 4Runner yesterday- after it warmed up to 32*-

Warm water hose spigot was frozen. Thawed it out, got the valve to open, got excited for bath time-

And the line was frozen in the wall [emoji18]
Oh well.
Let's try something else-

Hopefully the Brrr keeps me warm-

I saw the local self serve power wash station was still open today. I was like "SHIT! I should have brought my own hot bucket of water and wash mit(lies; it's just a rag) up there!"

I just got in from doing the same thing and I have to say your welds look better than mine . I never trust my own welding so I laid 3 beads on everything :bluejump:

It was a lucky night; my welding is so all over the place.

The axle being centered wasn't an issue on mine, as I haven't been running a panhard. That being said, with the 2" PHL bracket, and the 2" PHD bracket, my axle is centered, and my panhard is parallel to the earth [emoji1360]

How does she ride ?

No, I'm not running a body lift. I am actually wanting to lower it down to about a 2" lift up front, and keep the same rake I have now. Trying to decide the best route to take for that.
The biggest key to running 35's, is keeping your wheels as close to the knuckle/BJ as possible. That means using a 4"-4.5" back spaced wheel. Ideally, 4" on a 8" wide wheel, and 4.5" on a 9" wide wheel. That will keep your scrub radius to a minimum, and minimize trimming.

I want to do this too with my fat lip but idk what winch mount to use and winch. Well I could use the winch that's in the picture but I'm wondering if I'm limited to that or how much room there is to do all this. I search and really only found one guy who had this done. I want to say it is [MENTION=74071]Brilliant[/MENTION].

I have not fab'd the winch setup yet. I will be using a universal winch mount as a starting point, and building it from there. It's something you have to completely fabricate yourself; no one makes a hidden winch mount designed for the 3rd gen.

I know no one makes a mount for us. I just wasn't sure if anyone has tried like a jeep mount or an older f150 mount or something.
A universal mount sounds like a good plan though.
I guess I could always just make a mount myself too but do you know if it has to be a specific winch to fit ? I was thinking on going with a smittybilt winch.

[MENTION=144752]MarkamisPrime[/MENTION] I know there is a common bolt pattern used by most manufactures for, say 8-12k lb winches. It's like 5"x10" pattern- for example. I think starting with a universal plate would work better than trying to fit one that's already made for a different vehicle. Just my thought though.

Hung out with the homie [MENTION=124101]Chim[/MENTION] for a couple hours Saturday [emoji1360] Got the fogs for the front bumper, a bunch of wiring, and the HVAC box and panel from his '99.

Always a good time with him, and he even gave me his cargo cover for my buddy's rig.
Speaking of that buddy- he got a good deal on a pretty neglected '98 Limited. He replaced the engine and trans, bought my '99 cloth seats, my factory wheels and bumper, and got the paint all polished up. It's lookin damn good [emoji1360] His driver is a '99 IJM SR5 Sport. He got this to have fun with, and will be selling it soon.

He also gave me the factory-installed fog light harness and switch, since he didn't get the fogs with the '98.
It says Hella and 4Runner- I'm all in!

Was so sick of my rig being so fkn dirty from the past couple weeks being nothing but freezing, I tried to wash it.

Spliced the OEM connectors onto the Hella harness-

I'm not sure what lamps are in the fogs, but they put out great light! Very happy with them ☺
