Types of Safety Glass in 3rd Gen?

Hello Fellow Runners.
I have a question for anyone who can help. I did a bunch of googling and searching online and came up with very little.

Regarding the markings on all the glass in our vehicles. Does anyone know where I can find a breakdown of the codes used by the glass manufacturer for our runners? Specifically I am in search of what the model number for NSG.M408 or M4Q8. This manufacturer code is used on the sunroof and I need to know what the glass is made of. I ask because I recently tinted my sunroof and now I am reading that laminated glass is not recommended to be tinted as this can result in accelerated cracking. Hopefully the sunroof is tempered, but just want to make sure for safety and piece of mind.

Seeing as how the members on this forum are generally knowledgeable, hopefully someone can shed some light.

Not sure how tinting could cause cracking... If anything tint is good because it holds the glass together when it shatters.

I'll chime in on this. I worked in the glass industry for 4 years as an auto glass installer. Sun roofs are made of tempered safety glass which is completely safe to tint. People do not recommend tinting laminated glass because it is made of two thin panes of glass which can crack when a lot of heat is absorbed. Tint will increase the amount of heat absorbed. Tempered glass is heat strengthened glass and handle heat up to 400 degrees. You should be perfectly fine with a tinted sunroof.
