U-joints Condition

Ya it looks like it kicked out a bunch. I was just wondering if I could get some more advice on its condition.

Get your hands on the joint pushing and pulling feeling for any play. If there is none and you're not getting any weird sounds or vibrations, you are good to go. Grease the u-joints until you see grease coming out of each of the 4 bearing cups. Don't forget to grease the inner ball too of the double cardan joint. Just give it a few pumps with your grease gun and you're golden Pony Boy. Don't worry about over-greasing the u-joints. Who cares if you end up slinging a little grease under your rig. It's not going to hurt anything unless you're anal retentive and the site of the grease is going to drive you bat shit crazy.
The slip yokes are a whole different animal. Squeezing grease into those doesn't do much for properly greasing the splines. I suggest removing the slip yokes and manually greasing them.

All the other users have had excellent advice on the thread. 
If play does exist. I believe its replace driveshaft time. I am sure are other members will correct me if I am wrong but I don't think those can be replaced.
Greased. Replace the grease fittings yes but play in the joint itself is very bad.

They can be replaced, you just need a good driveline shop that knows their stuff and does a lot of them. Here's my write up.All the other users have had excellent advice on the thread.

There's a guy on Tacoma World that has a DIY write-up on it. It's not whether or not it's doable, it's the available parts that are suspect. [MENTION=125309]dogtail[/MENTION] has had good luck with his rebuild so far. I'm still not sold that the Neapco replacement parts will hold as well as the original speced parts. My local driveline shop owner said he won't rebuild them because of the quality of the available replacement parts. But, maybe my local guy is full of shit and doesn't know what he's talking about. The dude does have over 30 years in the business though so his opinion does hold weight with me.

Excellent information guys. As always you guys are always there when information is needed. I'll take a look at it when I can and report back here with what I find.
