I tried googling this but couldn't find exactly what I wanted. I am about to throw in an Eibach pro kit on my 2017 5th gen SR5P. I am currently trying to decide on UCA's. I was going to go with JBA's however their site says you cannot run 285's with stock TRD-Pro wheels with their UCA. So my question is what UCA's are those of you using with the stock TRD-Pro wheels?

I’ve got a JBA upper, with stock TRDP rims and 285’s, no problem at all... I am not sure why they saying can’t run this setup.

I am running the SPC UCA's with no issues at all. That could be another option for you.

My last alignment, like month ego, camber and caster are locked, working on toe.

SR5 P with Falkin M/Ts 285/70/17 on the black pro wheels, fender trim, bmc.

Did you got with their HD ones? The site says the wheel needs to be 0 offset I thought TRD-PRo wheels were 4mm offset?

No. Those UCA’s standard. As for Wheels offset from what I know it 0 but never made sure, could be wrong, either way it will fits with no issues 100%

Just googled offset on TRDP wheels and they are 4mm, you’re right. Probably JBA recommendation for 0mm offset , just for playing safe avoid the rubbing between uca and tire . I guess

I don't understand the fascination with the JBA UCA's. This topic of what is going to work or not work with them seems to come up quite regularly. Why not just pay the extra $100 and get a set of Dirt King UCA's and never have to worry about the situation? They're a better product anyway.

And besides all that if you change tires or rims in the future do you really want to be limited by what is compatible with your UCA'?

Ball joints > uniballs

Rubber bushings > Poly bushings

JBA uses ball joints and rubber bushings. For me that's the primary reason to go with JBA. IMO the Ironman arms visually appear to be the best current UCA for most users, but I have not personally owned a set, so I don't know.

EDIT: also - JBA should re-design it's arm to clear with stock wheel offsets for all OEM wheels. It would not take a major change to do that. It's just a few mm of material that needs to be removed from one part of the flat plate to clear any of the normal OEM wheel/tire combos.

I understand completely what you're saying. However, for me the uncertainty of if a part will be compatible long term to me is a deal breaker. According to SPC their bushings are a rubber compound and ball joint as well.


Edit: I agree the re design would be easy and do away with all the questions of fitment which then would make them a no brainier. But until then...

Ok just installed my JBA high caster and my truck feels so solid I wish I did it when I installed my BP51 would have saved me money :redbrick but the whole truck feels like it was cut from steel perfect

I'm running DK upper arms. Very good quality product. Definitely worth the money. I think you get more quality than what you pay for. It's the little things like how they use aluminum dust caps for their ball joints, and how it's held in place with a rubber O-ring as compared to some other more expensive arms that use double stick tape.

So far I've had no problem with squeeking, but only put about 700miles so far on them. I'm using the DK recommended Prothane Super Grease for the body mount bushings. It's definitely more expensive (about $45 for a 14oz tube) but from what I read, it lasts the longest without having to reapply, and a 14oz tube should last a really long time

I run fifteen52 turbomac hd 4.75 backspace with falken wildpeaks I have about 20mm space between the tires and JBA

The Ironman pro forge UCA is a great option. Really impressed by them. I ran SPC on my Tacoma, never was impressed with them. I’m running about 2.25” front lift and achieved 4.7 degrees of caster.

Thanks for the feedback and pic, they definitely look like they belong there. So the DK's will make the alignment tech happy? My last alignment on stock UCA's FWIW.
