Ultimate recovery receiver hitch

I was searching for a receiver that would work good for recovery and ran across this. I couldn't find where anyone had posted this prior but if it has been posted already I apologize in advance... Regardless I will be ordering one of these.

I don't understand why they added the hook to the top ? If the shackle is right there why not use it ?

I have this and I have been very happy with it. No reason to use the hook but I figured why not when I ordered it a couple of years ago it was about the same as just one with the shackle. Works great!

Seems outrageously expensive! you can get the shackle for 36.00-40.00, the hook is 5.00 everywhere and have someone weld it up or have a machine shop bolt it on for you, for a lot less than $74.00 + shipping (another $17.00 bucks). It looks kool, but way to much scratch!:shrug:
