I just bought a 2003 sport edition yesterday..Anyone know if there was supposed to be a skid plate on the front of these models?

I am pretty sure Skid Plates don't come included for any model or package option. But I could be wrong.

You have nothing missing. That's the way every 4th gen comes from the factory.

I disagree if the 2003 is like the 2005 there is a plate missing between the lower bumper and the frame.

front end

The car fax said there was "minor" damage on the front end due to a road construction object. No repairs necessary. I couldn't find anything broken, the only thing I could find was possibly this skid plate missing... If its missing I want to replace it. When the hood is up I can see straight through to the ground in the front between the grill and the radiator I just feel like there is something missing. I could be wrong>?

If anyone could include a image of their 2003 4runner sport that would be helpful. A picture of underneath the hood between the grill and radiator.

Nope, nothing is missing. Mine is like that too. I think the accessory skidplate will cover up that gap.

Mine looks like that, if a skid was in place it would limit/block the cooling of the radiator.

But then it does look exposed to a wayward stick, rock, etc. flying up and puncturing a coil.

There is nothing vital between the radiator and the bumper, nothing is missing.
