Under-Seat Mounting Plate

Any recommendations on a under-seat mounting plate? Not necessarily for a fire extinguisher - I'm looking for a large, flat surface to mount a flashlight, LifeHammer, etc. for easy access.

Saw that Wits' End had a mounting plate for sale about a month ago, but it's currently not available (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/231981-wits-end-fire-extinguisher-bracket-pre-order.html).

Are there any other solutions out there? Amazon and Google-fu have failed me thus far. Everything else that I've found so far are just straps meant solely for fire extinguishers.

Not quite the same, because I was working on a ham install... I got a sheet of lexan from Home Depot and coated one side with velcro. Great foundation for mounting the radio under the seat, and no holes.

Not a bad idea! I'll have to play around with this in my head but I like the customizability. Thanks!
