Undercarriage Damage!

While removing my running boards I found a huge hole in my undercarriage. Thinking back, I recalled having hit something on the freeway that made such a loud bang that I pulled over to check out my tires to make sure they hadn't blown out. I wouldn't be to worried about it. Any bodyshop should be able to patch that up in a few hours at most.

My brother is an auto body painter. He brought home an asphalt type patch from work that you heat up to seal the opening. Then some goo on the bottom with some rustproof paint and it was done.

No. Whatever I hit did not continue through the padding and carpet. I never saw what it was. I just remember being on the freeway and hearing a loud bang.

Holly.... well, Hole. Looks like RPG went off under there. I would use sheet metal to patch it up. Otherwise you may get water damage down the road. Have body shop weld in a patch, all you'll have to do is seal and paint it.
