Parts pile keeps growing, here's what you haven't seen quite yet. Newest thing is the cam. I got probably too big of a cam for the 5.3, but I couldn't pass it up. It's a custom grind by comp for LG motorsports called the G5X2, really, really fat cam for the 5.3.

Other than that you've got the MAF, Throttle body, Rollermaster Double roller timing set, O2 sensors, corvette fuel filter/pressure regulator, ARP wheel studs, ARP flywheel and clutch bolts, and a full OEM camaro pan swap kit.

Also picked up this POR15 engine paint kit, supposedly really good, I'd hate to take the time cleaning the hell out of it only for the spray bomb job to burn right off.

Found this wheel pretty cheap, Grip Royal Red Splatter on Black Rounds. Looks pretty good and has a nice feel.

Light test fit on the Sparco, the RSX brackets on the seats are surprisingly good, I'll be able to modify them easily and keep the sliders on, they're a bit tall, but my head doesn't hit the roof.

And the main event. My wheel and tire set up...

I went with Saleen SC reps, staggered 17x9 fronts, 17x10 Rears. They're really good.

Then I wrapped em up in some fat meats. 245/45 17 in the front, 275/40 17 in the rear. Cooper RS3-A performance all-seasons.

Fitment is goood.

Sorry to see the rotary gone. Those are great motors!

BTW: should have priced a new motor at the dealer. Short block is pretty cheap, I picked one up for my FD for $1400 after I blew mine.

Yea it sucks, but really the motor itself isn't what made the decision for me. It was restoring the interior, I would've probably been 2000$+ into restoring the interior to a decent factory look, recovering the seats, new carpet, all the little fiddly plastic bits, fixing the janky power windows, etc. It all added up to too much.

Having a stock FC just wasn't worth the same amount of money to me as having a 400WHP race car for the street, lol.

It's been fun so far, the tires are Cooper RS3-A all seasons. 245/45 in the front and 275/40 in the back.
