undesirable or typical cars that get your blood pumping

seen this thread on an Audi forum i frequent and some of those guys "typical" cars are pretty atypical IMO, but i thought it would be interesting to see what the more down to earth 4Runner owners think?

for me it has to be the Geo/Chevrolet Tracker or the Suzuki Samurai/Sidekick, followed closely by really any American RWD v8 sedan

I have full respect for those old land-rovers, built like tanks and can go anywhere. I would say im not a huge fan of the geo, tracker, sidekick stuff but I got nothing against them and I've seen some of them do more impressive offroading then most on this forrum.

I think its more about the driver that pumps my blood, and from my experience white Audis and White BMWs seem be the biggest jerks on the road.

I really like the Isuzu Vehicross. So different looking but very capable offroad. Love it or hate it styling but I love it.

90% of Cobalt/Cavalier (and now the Cruise?) drivers are either punks, or just an a**hole driver who will tailgate you, or otherwise.

Hyundai Tiberon's are similar to above. Although I am bothered by most Hyundai's/Kia's anyway.

Most Dodge truck drivers, including Rams. But mostly the Dakota/older Durango drivers are in the same league as the Tiberons/Cobalts or worse...

I have others, but I cant think of them right now. Its just that when I see one of the above on the road, I just know they're going to tick me off in one way or another...

Most people don't even remember this car existing.

Mitsubishi Starion - Butt ugly, but if you've ever had the pleasure to drive one or sit in the passenger seat, it is a QUICK car.

2nd Gen Mazda RX-7 - My buddy had a few of them, and they can be very quick cars, and while being rather finicky and unreliable, when built properly and running well, they are an absolute blast to drive!

I bought my wife a new Cobalt last year because she wanted something good on gas, without to much power and nice to drive. I told her what you wrote and concidering she is a slow lane driver most of the time and very passive she really liked it and said it gave her some encouragement to "cheese it" occasionally! Thanks for that FWIW I love driving her car, so low down and handles like a dream - when compared to my rig!

As for the car I occasionally see on the road that really gets my attention:







Its an 89 Cutlass Calais, got it when I was a kid from some old lady I sold newspapers to. Bought it in 97 with 40K kilometers on it for 3000$. Its a 16 valve, 2800cc, light as a feather, 4 banger and goes like crazy.

In sticking with the negative theme, every time I see a Chevy Volt, I cringe knowing my tax dollars helped pay for it.

On the positive side, every time I see a Shelby Super Snake, like this one I photographed at Cars and Coffee this morning, I start drooling..

I dig LR Defenders. I like old Internationals and Broncos too, if I ever get rid of my 1st gen I'll probably replace it with one of those (and maybe even if I don't!).

For cars, I've been hooked on late-model Supras for a long time, I'd love to own one and take it to the track. I wouldn't kick a Mitsubishi 3000GT out of bed for eating crackers, either.
