As you all know I'm 2wd :cry2:

Back to the business, CAN I LIFT THE FRONT 4"???

I don't have to worry about cv's right? But would it mess with the rack and pinion?

Hit me with the knowledge guys

Once you go above 3.5" the LBJ's max out, so you lose all of your down travel, it would end up riding like a garbage truck. The UBJ would also kill itself pretty quickly.

The rake isn't that bad. Hell I had 8.75 Wraps (LX450 coils) and 2.5" lift in the front and it wasn't stupid looking.

I thought you were searching for a 4wd?? I'd just stick to your search. After all is said and done, you'll have modified the crap out of yours, but still want the 4wd.

C.O.B is the only person I've seen (not a pro builder), who put the effort into doing a 4wd swap. Everyone else, either leaves their rig a 2wd, or ends up selling to buy a 4wd model.

Don't waste your money on mods, unless you are 100% sure you want to keep this truck. If you do, and don't care about the lack of those front CV axles, go for it! Mod the crap out of it! Otherwise, focus on CL and Autotrader, and find that gem!

;)

Hey any pics of this? I was planing the same idea for a lift LX coils and 3" in the front. I don't mind some rake but I would be interested in seeing what yours looked like. Thanks

I don't really have any pics of it just sitting still in a parking lot. But it may help you get any idea. Keep in mind I always had about 150 pounds in the back, but it only settled about 1/2" with that weight

It made me sad to go look at pics of my old one!
