Lately I am completely frustrated by the head unit bluetooth. I use an Android phone. All I do is to make blue tooth connection to the head unit so I can play podcast or music through the speakers. I don't use the head unit for anything else. I don't run any of the Toyota software. I control everything from my phone. The BT connection has been really sketchy and unpredictable. A lot of time it just fails to connect and the little disk icon just keeps spinning. Some other time it works flawlessly. But there are so many failures to connect that I am about to try aux input with a hard wire.
Before you suggest it, yes my head unit has the latest firmware and yes, I have tried deleting/recreating the pairing.
By the way, is there a way to "reboot" the head unit while the vehicle is in motion? Long press some button?
