LOL...that's awesome about your "financial means" that allows you to throw money away on overpriced, overhyped "new" tires. Meanwhile, us "Po Folk" will continue to save a buttload of cash driving on our retreads, thank you very much..

If you ever fall on tough times and want to save a chunk of money for a AWESOME set of tires (and put more Americans to work)...try TW's....you'll never go back :bigok:

imp:I don't think anyone's being a doomsayer. Most of the replies against TW have actually been very logical, IMO, and not blowing things out of proportion.
I don't think I'm throwing away money at all. Yes, new tires are more expensive. But does spending more money on something mean you're throwing away money? Look at your 4Runner. You could've bought an XJ for much cheaper. Perhaps half the price. Look at your mods. SS 1.2? You could've easily cut that budget in half with an OME lift and achieved the same lift. But in the end, you felt Toyota was more reliable and thus, your extra spending was justified. Same with the SS 1.2 lift made from higher quality parts.
Also, my truck is not a daily driver. I put on maybe 10k miles a year, if that. So a set of tires lasts me 3-4 years. Even spending $500 more, that's just $125-$167 per YEAR. I can LIVE with that.
Anyway, I really hope these tires work out for you and that you never ever experience a blow out that causes any harm or injury. That goes for anyone on the road that uses these tires (and new). Personally, I am fine spending the extra money on brand new tires. When my wife and my daughter are in the truck, makes me feel better. If a blowout happens, I'll know that I took every precaution possible to safeguard them. No one can predict anything, but we can all do our best to prevent the unforeseen events.

Now THOSE are good points! You're right...I save money where I can, but spend $$ on things I think are worth it..We may have different perspectives on TW's ( I truly think that they are every bit as safe as any new tire), but I can agree in principle with the above sentiments.
I will go through these tires within 2 years, or less....in your application, I see your point completely...

I know what your are getting at, and i would assume that they would be no more the 6 years old, because i would assume the restrictions are tighter fro retreads.

Always good to hear someones opinion/review and if they liked it or not. Seems the OP and at least another on here have them and are very happy. When someone that has "actually" had them and didnt like them chimes in I will listen to that also. I've googled and I can't find much dirt on them, no more than any other tire. I've looked at them and think they are a great looking tire. I understand the concerns...Would I buy a set???? Maybe!
As far as Firestone and recent Toyota's recalls, something like that would kill a small company like treadwright. All it takes are a few cases within hundreds of thousands and the shit hits the fan for a huge company and its all over the news and cost big $$$$. Can't imagine how treadwright could survive even one or two serious mishaps.

So yes i checked the dates and 2 tires are from 07 and the other 2 from 08, as far as mileage time will tell......

I saw an update from TW that they were going to release a 315 in August.
I'm seriously considering these given the overall feedback I've seen from multiple forums. I honestly haven't found one thread where someone commented on their tire failing. If someone has a link, please post.
