I have a 07 SR5. The switch for my rear window will not open or raise the window. I am able to raise it and lower it with my key. And I am able to lower it with the key fob. But the switch is not working. Has anyone else experienced this and what was the solution?
Check the power window lockout button on the driver's door. If that's locked to prevent the passengers from playing with the windows, then the rear window button doesn't work, either.
I was actually at the dealership this morning to fix this problem. I decided to bring my laptop and when I checked my email I saw your response to my problem. I stopped what I was doing and went out to see if my 4runner had been taken to correct the problem. It hadn't been moved yet so I checked the window lock button and sure enough that was the problem. I went back and told the service manager and then left. Even though I wasted an hour this morning I was relieved that it was nothing more than that. I thank you and this is why I love this site so much.
