check it out!:lookout: only seen a few other spacer lifted runners around the Tacoma area, anyone else out there ? or seen me ?

4Runner looks awesome man! I noticed that you had 17x9 rims and I was wondering if you were using any spacers and how the rubbing is for you? I am planning on get 18x9 with 33" tires this weekend and wasn't sure if I was going to need spacers or not.

thanks! no spacers, the rubbing is no issue on mine, anymore. you will need to cut your fenders pretty heavily, if you havnt already in the front/remove the mud flaps etc.. PM me if you want some pics of what it looks like if u havnt. Also, I cut my pinch weld and hammerd/ re-welded it back farther, because once my tires wear down im going BL and 35's, even before that i had no issues, it really depends on how high your front is lifted, your probably gunna have to do some playing around with a dremel which is what i did, sitting in the discount tire parking lot about a year ago using the power inverter to run it lol

also on mine, considering i have the rear lifted 3" it gave me the oppertunity to lift my front higher anyway which also in my case reduces the angle of that body mount to the tire for rubbing FYI..

Ha no problem. :thumb3: My bad, I see it in your sig now. I was just wondering as I actually painted mine red...time will tell how it holds up. I would love to have coilovers though.

toytec put their un assembled coilover kit on there for 389$ and i bought it because, i already had the 5100's from earlier, i just needed the adjustable sleeves and the new coils. i assembled myself and put it back together. you could do that too, but youve already done that lol
 
nice truck--very burly is an apt description... Is that the factory skid plate, painted red? Looks cool...do I smell some sliders on the way?
 
Looks dope man! Did you color code paint your grill? Or did it come that way? I also like the tinted look on your fog lights. I figure I'll go higher in the future and your truck is what I'd be going for.

yes its the stock one painted red, but i have it beefed up with some added steel i welded on... i would love some sliders, but im going to college and its just gunna sit in the parking lot for months on end so im probably gunna wait, plus i never take my baby on rocks anyway:thumb3: a BL and 35's are in the future though!

thanks! and the car came that way when we bought it in 0'3. i started out with just a 2" lift in the front a few years ago, then got mad with the back squatting so i lifted the rear, then decided to step it up and bought the 5100's and all new coils, then just ended up going full blown coilovers so finish it off, its ADDICTING!

Our Runners could be related. You can't see it in the picture but I also have the Toytecs. The funny thing is, just like you I had the 5100's on FJ springs then I upgraded when Toytec ran the sale. Your Runner looks great, keep the pics coming when you go to 35's!
 
Awesome looking wheels! :bigok: Be careful when airing your tires down for going off-road. They have very sharp edges near the bead that will cut your tires. On a recent trip, one of our members had two of his tires cut by the wheels.

good lord that looks terrible! ill have to keep that in mind! i never usually air my tires down when wheelin, there always running around 50-45 psi

funny how that happens! with the discount code i was out the door at 400$ shipped! :) our runners are pretty much twins!
