Upgrade 4cyl to 6cyl

I have a 1998 4cyl automatic 4runner and I want to know how hard it would be to get a 6cyl engine and put it in there? What would I need besides the engine?

Unless you have a free engine sitting around Im guessing this is not going to be worth your time and money. Just sell your 4cyl and get a 6.

just to answer your question, the few things off the top of my head that you would need besides the engine would be the 6 cylinder computer, motor mounts, air intake, headers, radiator, fan, transmission. not to mention having to just about relocate everything under your hood.

besides the things im missing in this little list, you've already spent 8 grand to get everything needed together, so save your money and replace your 10 year old vehicle rather than upgrade it.
