Upgrade Time

Hey Guys,

This time last week I was buying gas and while waiting in line I was backed into by a very large Chevy Silverado. This caused pretty rough damage to my front bumper, but refrained from touching my radiator or any engine components. After lots of insurance blah blah I received a check for around $1200 to fix the damages, having the other insurance fully responsible.

With these newfound funds I'm looking at a small list of items to upgrade if possible, and I'm looking to the experts (you) for suggestions on what kinds.

-Bumper: Tube Front Bumper 4Runner (1996-2002) [aor-tube(4runner 1996-2002)] - $525.00 : Addicted Offroad is a full service Parts, Sales, and Fabrication company offering offroad parts for all makes and models, Addicted Offroad
or
1996-2002 Toyota 4Runner Weld Together Winch Bumper Kit
I'm open to any other suggestions for under 600.

Tires: I'm looking at General Grabber At2's or some Pirelli Scorpions.

Suspension? I'm not sure if I'll have the budget left, but I can always dip into my own funs if need be for a weekend.

Snorkel? just for the fun of it :D

Thanks Guys!

I',m open to any other suggestions as well, if there are other upgrades in mind....

If you like the look of plate 4Xinnovations is pretty darn affordable.

In the case of buying a plate bumper, I would go with Savage Offroad for sure. 4xinnovations is slightly out of my price range......

Thanks for the suggestion tho!

What about Addicted Off-road? I just bought the plate bumper from them and cannot wait to get it on the 4Runner

I'm looking at getting their tube bumper, and welding some plates on myself. The plate bumper is badass though! I'm on a very tight budget at 17yrs old and working a few days a week, so I have to plan my upgrades carefully.

Link me pics when you have it on!

My buddy runs the tube bumper. I would recommend avoiding the plates to be welded on. Never comes out looking the best. Even Scott at AOR said he tried this and was going to sell a weld in kit but didnt come out the way he wanted. Ive seen some other locals with them welded in and it just looked out of place.

Instead of spending the time and work to weld in plates for just a few more dollars you can get the plate. I like mine a lot.

You're probably right. I'll dive deeper into it

And I just turned 18 so I know how the money deal goes haha. But honestly I planned it out and saved up and got the whole package. Plate bumper, tube rear bumper and rock sliders. I figured it would be worth waiting to get them all for cheaper
