I'm not a tire expert but I wouldn't see any disadvantages to doing this. I would think if anything, a wider track would give you better stability. A little more rubber contacting the asphault.franco said:factory 18 comes with 265/60/18 i want to put on 275/60/18 for that wider look but im worried this might be a disadvantage
31's will fit underneathBobster said:I bought the nitto 404's in 275-65-17 and they work well. I have only driven them on dry pavement. I don't know if they fit in the spare tire well (they are 31" tall) but they fill the wheel wells very well and the extra width looks good. The 275-60-18's are almost identical dimensions.
Has anyone tried this size tire yet? I am thinking of possibly adding the 3/2 Cornfed and was wondering if the 285 would fit on the oem 18's. Also thought of adding the 1.25" Spider-trax wheel spacers.franco said:285/60/18 have many choices but im scared the tire wont fit on the spare
Beautiful ride! Thanks for the tip.Trik444 said:Promed,
The rig you are referring to is mine. So far I only have great things to say about my setup. Do some research as to what you want. There are a couple of companies carrying MTR's for 18" rims these days. Good luck!
