im thinkin of getting the limited 18inch rims or some 18inch chromes but i was thinkin of covering them in 275/60/18 tires
to give the truck a better wider lookin stance

what do you guys think
what the advantages and diadvantages
and will the spare fit underneath

Franco..im not sure what size rubber comes on the new 18's but u will find alot of people upgrade the rubber on their rigs as most of the stuff from the factory is pretty pathetic.

factory 18 comes with 265/60/18 i want to put on 275/60/18 for that wider look but im worried this might be a disadvantage

I'm not a tire expert but I wouldn't see any disadvantages to doing this. I would think if anything, a wider track would give you better stability. A little more rubber contacting the asphault.

I don't think you would have any trouble getting the spare to fit either seeing how it's only 31" tall.

Also, it won't effect your speedo much either. When it says your going 60 mph you will actually be at about 61 mph.

i brought the limited 18 wheels for $175 a rim brought 5 rims one spare but i have no clue what tires to pick
i wanted to go with 275/60/18 but the choices suck
285/60/18 have many choices but im scared the tire wont fit on the spare
i was thinkin of going with 286/60/18 but my local stores only carry bridgestone and falken
what should i get i want a comfrotable ride and awesome traction and good for all types of weather what you think

I bought the nitto 404's in 275-65-17 and they work well. I have only driven them on dry pavement. I don't know if they fit in the spare tire well (they are 31" tall) but they fill the wheel wells very well and the extra width looks good. The 275-60-18's are almost identical dimensions.

31's will fit underneath

i still wanna go with 285/60/18 for more selections but i need a tire thats not scared of snow cause it snows in nyc and how bad will it look if my v8 runner gets stuck in snow but at the same time i want awesome traction, and comfert
suggestion

Promed,
The rig you are referring to is mine. So far I only have great things to say about my setup. Do some research as to what you want. There are a couple of companies carrying MTR's for 18" rims these days. Good luck!
