Hey yall,
Trying to replace my two-year-old OME setup. It was a disappointment and a learning experience with lots of rough ride and sagging springs. That being said it is time to part ways with my OME setup.
Was wondering anyone's experience with this particular setup.

Any info would be highly appreciated.
It all depends, as always.
Are you strictly after function or are you also looking for a particular feel?
1. Feel is subjective so, not much I can say there. If you like a setup like that, by all means. Just bear in mind that it should ride a lot better on road with heavy tires than with light tires. It is a stiff setup with superb handling and cornering on road but it would be really firm with lightweight tires.
2. I can comment on function though.
If you are strictly after function, then what you propose means you would be getting a high-endurance desert setup. You will not have any use for those reservoirs, front or rear, unless you come over here. And even here, you will have to move at very serious speeds through the desert to actually leave me behind. Just going fast won't cut it.
As for rocks, which you are more likely to see in state, then what I have in my signature is totally enough, with the 650lb springs. An Icon setup with no reservoirs is the closest to what I have with stronger front shocks. It would be a blast to drive in all conditions without the unnecessary reservoirs.
So here is what I would be looking at:
Road-biased option: Bilstein 6112 with 600lb front springs and Eibach rear shocks and springs.
Off-road biased option: my current setup
Premium offroad biased option. What you propose minus the reservoirs. Whether it has any serious benefits over what I have is debatable but at least it would be perfectly matched front and rear.
I would love to try some bypass shocks but I have other priorities. And I am too satisfied to make changes. The rear could be a little softer on road but it is ok.
