I know to use only toyota lower ball joints but I'm looking to replace my uppers along with my coilover install but the dealer can't get them for a week because the only warehouse that has them is in CA. My question is what is the 2nd best ones out there? I know the uppers don't see as much abuse but I don't want to have to do this again anytime soon.

Duralast $23 (looks like moog)
Valucraft $13
Moog $56
Driveworks $17
Napa Master Ride $14
Napa Chassis $57
Napa Ultra8 Altrom $34
Toyota $37
ProSteer (pepboys) $20

Is your rig lifted? I had two OEM uppers fail on me not counting my old ones. At 3" front lift they are at a pretty high angle and wheeling seemed to eat them up.

IMO only go OEM. You can order them online and have them shipped faster, just need to call around and find them in stock. My dealer local had them in stock and matched me online pricing. Picked them up for $35.

I have now gone to aftermarket Light Racing SPC UCA's because I was tired of doing the work to replace them and never coudl get a good alignment.

I have a 2" lift and the factory ones have lasted 240k so I would like to stick with Toyota but no one has them in stock locally so I'm looking for a second best option.

Agreed, i think at the end of the day, you'd feel better with OEM. Might wanna just wait it out, or have Camelback overnight them to you if you cant wait.

It's a crap shoot honestly. So many of these parts are being made in China now that you have no idea what you're getting. Most of them are made in the same factory and stuffed into different boxes and sold as different brands.

If I HAD to pick one I'd go with Napa, but personally I'd put the job off until I could get OEM.

No reason not to wait unless the joint is failed. If it is and you need your vehicle now then install the cheapest, order the OEM and do the work again. IMO just order and wait.

I wanted to do it this weekend as I have time and most weekends I don't. There isn't a dealer or warehouse on the east coast that has them. They need to come from a warehouse in CA and I'm being told that there is a nationwide backorder of over 300 of these so it seems everyone is looking for them and CA is the only place that has them.
I looked at the moog ones and they are at least made in japan. I'm not a fan of their dumb dust boot though.
