Upper Control Arm preference

Surprised no one has mentioned Dobinson's UCA's. Ball joints are not preinstalled, but Dobinson will soon offer this. I had local 4x4 shop press mine in. Ball joints are typical Sankei 555 and do not require any servicing.

Install on truck was straight forward. Getting final alignment tomorrow so will see how that goes, but been assured by Dobinson should be fine with my 3"-3.5" front lift. Satisfied, but only been 1 week.

Just put on the dirt king ball joint uppers yesterday. These things are beautiful. Also got the new caps but didn’t get a picture. They aligned perfectly, you can get all the caster you want lol. I’d highly recommend them. I went with them because you can run them with factory wheels and no spacers vs the JBA.

On the JBAs, do you know if they work with wheels that are 8.5" wide with 4.51 backspace/-6 offset and 285/70/17 wheels?

The JBA site says -9 offset/4.3 backspace for 8.5" but I don't know which direction from there is ok (higher or lower offset).

does your 4runner wander on the freeway? if not, I wouldn't even waste money and keep running the OEMs.
