Urban Assault 3Rd gen

Denver Daily Driver build

My 2000 limited 4runner got beat up pretty bad by hail. So I sold it and bought another one, but it was a sr5. After driving it a little, I decided I really missed the features of a limited. So I went on the hunt for a limited instead. I just need a 3Rd Gen for getting to work, especially in the snow. I have another Yota built for wheelin, so my 3rd Gen is more for the urban environment. Here is the sr5 I bought. It's a sport edition...

I found a nice limited owned by a nice lady. It is a 99, and has a elocker, I was elated to find one with a locker. 4800 and I took her home...

So now I had 2 3rd gens. A limited with elocker, and a sr5 I was going to sell. Problem was, I loved the look of the sport trim. So I swapped exterior trim packages, I also swapped wheels. Here is the sr5 with limited trim before I sold it for 6k. I bought it for 3800, so I made some cash. I didn't take the Rev tek spacers off because I don't need a lift for my purposes.

The driver seat was torn as most are, so I recovered it, I also put leds in the climate control unit, and in the gauges

The reason I don't want a lift as I said, is because I already have a Yoda with a lift, one truck with a lift is enough work haha. Here is my other Yota...

I also got ahold of a supercharger, 7TH injector kit, 2.1 pulley, and some silver bilsteins shocks-cant remember the part number but they are better than the blown Monroe on the back. Ported the supercharger and repainted it. I don't like the URD pulleys so I sold the 2.1 and had the factory pulley machined to 2.0.

Also added a double din with backup camera with GPS. I can also link my phone to it and use the internet on it and the torque app. If u look u can see my afr gauge discreetly in that useless little cubby. I also added water meth to help cool the intake charge.

awesome build, like the simple approch you need...

tip, don't off-road the runner, you'll notice it's way more comfy than the cruiser... and possibly no go back.

sub'd for more mods.

More details on the head unit. Is it a gps unit? My 4runner took some hail damage as well. Im down here in the springs.

Its a Xtrons stereo from china. Im pretty happy with it. Yes it has built in gps, but it has mirroring capability too so I just plug in my phone and then I can see exactly whats on my phone screen and touch the stereo and it relays that touch to the phone, so I can use google maps, torque, and the internet right on the deck.
