Urban Runners Chime in

I just bought some urban runner seat skins (OEM).

I have a Limited with dual power seats. The leather has a tear on the drivers seat in the common spot and a replacement seat bottom leather was over a grand.


As I said, i bought the UR seat skins (pretty much brand new) and now I am being told that they will not fit my 4runner.

Dealer said the limited dual power with seat heaters are different than the UR and will not fit.

I hold the UR skins up to my limited seats and the panels look Exactly the same.

So my questions are..#1 did the UR have dual power seats or just Drivers side. #2 Any idea why they would not fit my limited?

URs have dual power seats. Drivers is 10 way, passenger 4 way. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the seat covers will work for you.

They have damn airbags everywhere. You cant look at a single place in the thing without seeing the airbag tag or label.

Also, like stated above, both sides are power. They arent heated but that doesnt matter, you can keep the heaters under the UR covers. I dont see why they wouldnt work. Take them to an upholstery shop if you arent doing them yourself. The dealer doesnt install them anyway, they are subbed out..

LOL...modern cars for you eh. I went on a trip to Australia recently and rented a Toyota Aurion...it had airbags for your knees!

That's the way our Camry is. I was hooking up my sg2 the other day to do a transmission drain and fill and noticed the airbag label by the obd2 port..
