UrbanRunner questions (both iPod Q's)

Hello,

I just joined this group, but I have a few questions... I recently purchased an 08' Pearl UrbanRunner and have had some troubles with the TomTom Toyota package (unfortunately, I didn't bring my iPod to the dealership to test it out with the "new" Toyota TomTom deck) javascript:smilie(':)')
smile.

1. The AUX input in the center console does not work with my iPod. I'm not sure what the problem is, but currently I can only utilize the CD and Radio inputs. Any idea how to switch it to AUX?

2. I tried plugging my iPod into the USB port on the outside of the TomTom. The TomTom device only pulls up 17 of my 700 songs. The interface is pretty sweet, but it appears the SD card is lacking in the memory dept. Does anyone know what type of SD card I can use to get more memory? I bought a 8GB SD card at best buy, but it didn't work when I plugged it into the TomTom.

Thanks in advance,
-Tom

Yeah, I should have done some more reading before I posted. I found a pretty sweet PDF posted by someone that allowed me to activate the AUX control (attached). My iPod works now, but only through the AUX input in the center console. The dealership had actually told me the custom TomTom deck cancels out the AUX input... Hah!

I still dont know what to do about the SD card. It looks like some people have replace the TomTom SD card with 2GB cards, but it appears that has also caused some other problems (ie crashing, freezing..) I tried to replace mine with an 8GB card, but it didn't work. "memory card not recognized".

Plug the tomtom into your computer via the supplied usb cord (do not open tomtom home), go to my computer, open the tomtom (pc sees it as an external drive), and copy all the files/folders to the new memory card and it should work FINE.

what i find odd is it did not recognize all of your songs with the USB. it found all 2700 of mine but it just took forever and a day. then once i turned the car off all was lost. an iPod interface is the best way to go IMO. depending on what you find important would help decide which interface to get.
