I spoke with Bryan at URD yesterday about their two supercharger kits for the 4.0L V6 motors.
URD 4.0 S/C Kit
He didn't mention whether they planned on making a kit specific to the 4Runner or not. But, he did tell me that if I was willing to perform some cutting and "fitting" work on the intake piping myself, or knew of a shop that could do it for me, the kit they advertise for the FJ Cruiser will fit the V6 4Runners. He told me that they would provide everything else needed in the install.
He did say that he had sold one kit to a 4Runner owner. So, if that owner is here, speak up now, I'd love to hear from you.
This came to my attention at a point where I had finally decided that I was going to build my own Roots-based blower setup...I still may just to keep costs down, so who knows. For what it's worth though, there is a shop now that claims to have a kit compatible with the V6.
I know there are more V6 owners here besides me that want more power.....He said 90whp @ 5.5psi was the gain on the FJ....
