the PERIPHERAL pxdp2 doesn't show text on the radio like the PA12TOY from USA Spec. Not to mention the PXDP and PXDP2 have horrible ipod controls. The USA Spec piece also gives you the option of controlling the ipod through the head unit or through the ipod.
My vote is for the USA Spec. If you just want an aux in, then the the peripheral PXDX is the way to go.

that was a misread... I was thinking about the PXDP
as far as it being a quality product... the usa spec piece has peripheral by the balls.
Neither the PXDP not the PXDP2 will work with radios that have factory XM installed... The USA Spec does.
They also give you different options for controlling your ipod so that you aren't limited as to what you can access. You have direct mode where you can access anything on the ipod by controlling the ipod yet still charging it, playlist mode so that you can only access a few playlists, or hybrid mode where you can do both and still display text on the radio! Not to mention the USA Spec piece gives you an extra aux input so that if you are running an aftermarket XM/Sirius unit you can play it through the stereo using the same adapter!
Peripheral isn't bad, and make a lot of good products. If I wanted just an AUX input, I'd use them. Otherwise I'm going elsewhere.
