USB Processing?

I have a 22 4Runner Off Road Premium. When I load an audio book onto a USB drive and plug it into the system, it jumbles up the chapters on the book. I checked to make sure it's not selecting random files, and I've renamed the files so they are in sequence, but it still plays several tracks in sequence, then jumps to a different track, then back, etc... Does anybody have experience with this issue? Thanks.

I don't have any experience with this myself, but your post piqued my curiosity.

I found a thread on a different toyota forum where members are discussing out-of-order playback with mp3 files from usb. Not sure what format your files are. Post #11, the member covers the different things they tried out and what their solution is: HERE

I would double check that the system does not need an update too - I had a similar issue with Spotify on my 2020 TRD pro, and realized it needed an update, after that it was resolved. Not sure if it's related to this at all.

your flux capacitor may need to be calibrated. Its located in the fuse box in the engine compartment.
