Use of "High beam" on 2023 Limited

Several months ago I purchased a 2023 Limited, it has the LED headlamps with projectors so low and hi beams are controlled by the projectors. It still has the high beam reflector with the 9005 halogen bulb but it doesn´t light up. Of course it has the bulb and it´s wired. I tried to find a custom setting maybe for a daytime running light, don´t have that, Even using techstream, don´t have the option. Also tried Carista, no luck.

Any inputs?

You’re trying to use your DRL as another high beam? The reflector changed so it doesn’t give the same pattern as previous years. You’ll have to add a relay and custom wiring to get it to work the way it sounds like you want

Actually in my truck it has no use. I don't have DRL nor high beams on the reflector. My question may not make much sense, I just noticed the reflector, the bulb and the wiring but not use for it. If I could add a relay and make the DRL would be great.

It does have a use. It’s your DRL. If you leave your stalk on auto, that reflector will be on after you take your parking brake off and start moving. If you have the stalk on another setting, then it potentially will look like the reflector does nothing

DRL's are enabled in the vehicle settings section of the head unit.

My Quad Highbeam Setup

That 9005 bulb in the reflector is DRL only.

I was in the same situation with my 2021 TRD Pro. I added a relay harness just like wiring a light bar and use the bulb in reflector as second set of highbeams.

Here's the video explaining what I did. There's another video I added 2 light bars to the same wire and there will be a future video adding 2 spot lights to the same wiring for even more light.

For your second high beams + lightbars, do you have all these going through one relay, or one switch triggering multiple relays? I want to mimic your setup but trying to decide how to wire/control the second high beams, and think triggering with one of my existing switches is easiest.

Btw, got a link to the bulbs you liked for the second high beams?
