used OME lift prices

I'm going to redoing the rear suspension shortly and I'm now contemplating doing the front as well. So I'm trying to budget everything but I'm not sure what to sell my lift for.

I have the 881/891 set up with sport shocks. About 6-7 months old and less than 10K miles. What do you guys think is a fair price to ask?

I think asking $450 obo would be fair. Then consider the offers. That's assuming nothing is damaged like blown shocks, bent studs, etc.. Do you have top spacers for the 881s too?

I was thinking doing that or trying to save for coilovers. Kinda hard to sell it with it still on my car though lol.

No top out spacers either.

I prefer my 883s to coilovers. They're hundreds of dollars cheaper (especially since you already have the shocks), mine rode nicer than the SAW 2.0 coilovers I've tested them against and about the same as the Toytec coilovers I've felt. Not to mention the 883s support weight very well without sagging. IMO you don't need to spend all that $$ for adjustability if you get the right OME coil for how much weight you'll be running. Then you'll already be at the right height. Most people adjust their coilovers once when they get their bumper/winch/etc.. and then they leave it alone because they have to get an alignment every time they mess with it. The adjustability isn't worth the price IMO.

Do you by any chance know the difference in height between the 881 and 883's? Maybe I should add a top out spacer anyway. I definitely would rather not have to buy all new front suspension.

For a short, simple answer... 883s = 881s + top out spacers on a stock weight truck. If you start adding weight though, the 881s will sag a lot quicker than 883s. It seems as though the 883s don't sag over time as much as the 881s or 882s either. What are your future plans? Winch, bumper, skids, sliders, etc..?

So if my thought process is correct the 883's with a top out spacer should add at least an inch of lift? Now I just need to find the difference between my 891 and the 861 I want

883s and a top spacer will probably be ok if you ad weight, but running it like that with stock bumper/skids will probably over-extend your CVs.

I wont be adding weight. So i guess I can do the 883 coils. Sounds like to will be about a half inch taller. I will be listing every thing for sale shortly. Just waiting on cash right now to start buying parts.

Just a warning, the 883s are going to ride very stiff without extra weight - enough to question whether or not you made the right choice. Personally I would go with some top spacers on your 881s and call it done.

Ugh......so confusing. downpour11's rig rides 2" taller in the front with 882's and top out spacers so I don't think just adding topouts to mine with be enough lift to match the 861's in the rear. Would 882's be better?

Actually 882s are for even more extra weight so they will ride even harsher than the 883s. 883s = medium duty (or ~100-150 lbs. extra weight). 882s = heavy duty (or 150+ lbs extra weight). I think the best thing would be to ride in Downpour's truck and see if it's too harsh for you. The 883s will be a little bit softer.

Edit: I was thinking you lived close to him. I would ask him how he likes his 882s with a stock bumper. They seem to sit ~.5" higher than the 883s at 1st, but after a year or so they seem to end up at or below 883s of the same age.

Yeah I don't live close. Not too many people in Oregon on here thats for sure. I'm thinking that maybe the 883's with maybe the 5mm trim packers. Maybe that will be enough. I don't mind a rough ride for the most part. I used to have slammed hondas and acuras so its a nice change to be up high and not bouncing around.

I think you'll be good with that setup.

Yeah after checking out MillerPKA's set up the 883's would probably be just fine. I know he has a body lift but I like the way it sits, good amount of rake.

He's got a 2" body lift (I don't know if you knew that or not). Are you going to get a BL too?

I may at some point but not sure. I've gotta get the lift done then i've got maint. i should do before I spend more on other stuff.
