Used the wrong washer on transmission drain plug

I used an oil drain plug washer on the transmission plug not knowing any better (have correct washers being sent). I am not getting any leaks but a reoccurring nightmare of mine is stripping threads, any threads, any where.

Anybody else ever use the oil drain plug washer? I will replace it as soon as I get the correct washers in and hope I didn't somehow damage anything.

Without any spacer or washer/gasket, apparently it will bottom-out and strip. So, I imagine you'll be fine.

When you get the correct one, as I recently read, the flat side of the gasket should rest on the bolt shoulder, and the rounded collapsing portion goes against the pan.
